Finding a good Cruelty-Free Stocking Filler is hard! It has to be small but something that a cruelty-free enthusiast would love and actually want.
This is where I think the Tropic Mini Complexion Trios would be perfect for someone who likes cruelty free, natural, good skincare and likes to try new products and is a good size for a Cruelty-Free Stocking Filler…
It costs £18 for one trio of 5ml product and you can choose from 3 different trios, the Confidence Boost, Fresh Faced and Glow Getter each having there own skincare focus.
I have purchased Confidence Boost and Fresh Faced as it’s a brilliant way to try out the Tropic Skincare serums without breaking the bank as most of the serums cost about £40 so it’s nice to try them out without buying the full product.
First is the Confidence Boost…
In this Trio you get the 5ml of the Pure Lagoon, Rainforest Dew and Super Greens, this selection if for people with problem skin and some of these can be layered on top of one another.
I have already done a full review of the Pure Lagoon Blemish Prevention Serum, So for a more in-depth look, read that blog post Here but the main thing is that I love this product and it made me excited to try more from this brand. I will be repurchasing the full-size 30ml for £42 which is expensive so its good to try it out with before purchasing the full size.
This is a blemish fighting serum that isn’t drying like a lot of other spot treating products and is made from Prebiotics and other amazing ingredients ( see more here)
This product is also paired well with the Super Greens which gives it even more extra nourishment.
This Pure Lagoon Serum should not be used with Glow Berry as together the ingredients do not work properly.
The full size of the Super Greens Serum is again £42 for 30ml but this serum is made to boost your natural defences, packed with vitamins and nutrients to help fight daily pollution, this product is calming and reduces redness.
One of the main ingredients is tamanu oil which I have talked about before ( read here) and reacts well with my skin but the smell is pretty bad, my first impression of this product is that it is a very light oil in the sense that you don’t feel it on your face and I do notice that my skin is softer and a lot less red after using this product plus it is good to layer on top of the other serums.
Last but not least the Rainforest Dew Serum which is again £42 this product is in all three trios you can buy as its good for all skin types, its main focus is hydration and would be good for people with dry skin or just want an extra shot of hydration and dew.
One of the main ingredients of the Rainforest Dew Serum is hyaluronic acid which hydrates deep into your skin, my first impressions of this Serum is that it absorbs quickly but you need to use more product than the rest of the serums, it makes your skin lovely and soft but I don’t think it’s strong enough for people with very dry skin plus it layers underneath Super Greens Serum well, this serum costs the same amount as the others.
Next the Fresh Faced Trio, 5ml of the Fruit Peel, Glow Berry and another Rainforest Dew this trio is good for people with pigmentation and maybe if you’re interested in anti-ageing.
I have had my eye on the Fruit Peel Resurfacing Serum for a while but I didn’t want to buy the full size £42 bottle so I was very happy to see this in a trio, this serum is created for people with rough uneven skin texture by resurfacing the top layer with plant-derived ingredients like Papaya Enzymes and AHA Fruit Complexes
( see more here) this is a good product for people with older skin or just someone who wants brighter, smoother skin using more natural ingredients, I have not tried this product out yet but when I do expect a full review as I have found it hard to find a natural chemical exsfoliant.
Also in this Fresh Faced Trio, the Glow Berry Brightening Serum which is made to fight hyperpigmentation a problem I really have with my skin and something i want to fix, the main ingredients are Vitamin C something i use a lot in my skincare and find very beneficial and Superberries packed with Antioxidants. I can’t wait to give this a through try and see if it helps my stubborn pigmentation.
As with the Confidence Boost, this trio also has the Rainforest Dew as I think it goes with all the trios perfectly and benefits all skin types.
Overall I would highly recommend picking one or all of these trios up as a Cruelty-Free Stocking Filler, they are a good way of trying these potent serums without the big price tag plus a little of these products go a long way so you will be surprised how long they will last, My only complaint is that I wish you could mix and match what products you want in your trio. I will be doing a full in-depth review of all these products and if I think you should pay for the full price. Thanks for reading Xxx
