Suncream is important, it is the first rule of good skincare but it is harder than it sounds, if you are wearing it every day even when it’s raining, you need something that really works for your skin and your daily life.
I have acne prone sensitive skin, so I’ve had a hard time finding something that doesn’t break me out in spots (which happened every time I was on holiday) so I have been on the hunt for a good every day Cruelty-Free Sunscreen.
Here is a few Cruelty-Free Sunscreen I have tried The Beauty Kitchen SPF30 Invisible Mineral Shield Review, The Ordinary Mineral UV Filters SPF30 With Antioxidants Review! and NIOD Survival 20 Review! After trying all those different SPF’s I have realised I really don’t like Mineral Sunscreen as I hate the white cast it leaves on your skin.
So no more Mineral Sun cream for me but as I have started to really look into what chemicals I am putting on my skin I wanted an Organic Sunscreen that would try to use the best ingredients.
So that narrows it down a lot and the first one that jumped out to me is the Coola Cucumber Moisturiser SPF30.
You can buy this Organic Coola Sunscreen from Cult Beauty £30 for 50ml so much more than I would like to pay but I am becoming more aware of how important it is to get a good quality sunscreen.
It is Cruelty-Free, Paraben-Free, GMO-Free, Vegan and 70% organic. Though I wish I could get a more natural sun cream, I dislike mineral-based ones this is the best I have found that use the most organic natural ingredients.
I have used this Sunscreen for about four months so I feel like I can give a good review on how well it worked for me personally.
First of all the texture is good and works into your skin well leaving no white cast which was what I was looking for and feels very comfortable and not sticky or oily on the skin.
Also, it works well with my sensitive acne prone skin, It didn’t break me out like a lot of sunscreens and works well under makeup which is key for an everyday sunscreen.
I also love that it is factor 30 as I think that is strong enough for everyday use in England but I must warn you if you are sunbathing in hot weather make sure you reapply every 2 hours (it warns you on the product) as I didn’t reapply it while sunbathing and got a little burnt which was my own fault.
The smell of this isn’t exactly pleasant but it is not overpowering and I barely notice it anymore
Now onto the thing I don’t like about this product, it is very shiny and for someone who doesn’t particularly like that look it puts me off quite a bit and no amount of powder seems to Mattify it, so throughout the day my face looks more oily which isn’t a good look, so if you have oily skin I would stay away from this particular sunscreen of Coola’s.
Overall though there is a lot of good things about this Organic Coola Sunscreen but I won’t be repurchasing this specific one again. I will be however trying out the Coola SPF30 makeup primer or the Matte version of this product as I’m very intrigued with the Coola Brand and like that they try to use as many organic ingredients as they can.
