It’s tricky to find a good Micellar Water, it needs to tick many boxes, takes off your makeup, pure ingredients and doesn’t irritate and sting your eyes. Plus I want mine to be cruelty-free so it’s a tall order but I think this Waitrose Pure Micellar Water manages it.

This product is cruelty-free as all Waitrose own products are and vegan, it does contain alcohol which is very annoying but this is still the purest micellar water I’ve found especially at the price of £2.50.

The packaging is simple and clean with light blue traced flowers on the front and simple branding. It has no offensive smell and it is easy to pour on a cotton pad which is pretty much all you want in a micellar bottle.

The ingredients list isn’t long with Aqua, Glycerin, Nymphaea Alba Flower Extract, Heptyl Glucoside, Potassium Phosphate, Phenoxyethanol, Dipotassium Phosphate, Sodium Benzoate, Citric Acid, Sodium Phytate, Butylene Glycol, Alcohol. It’s Paraben Free, Sulphate Free and Suitable for Sensitive Skin.

I use a small amount on a reusable cotton pad, its very gentle on the skin and takes off makeup well, its not the best in the world but it gets the job done also it doesn’t sting my eyes and takes off my mascara, if you wear waterproof makeup this won’t be any good for you as its not strong enough but for everyday makeup its perfect.

It doesn’t leave a residue on the skin but it does feel a little dry afterwards but that’s to be expected.

As I said before its very cheap for what you get and you can get hold of it in any Waitrose. Overall I would recommend the Waitrose Pure Micellar Water and  giving it a try as it’s the only one I’ve ever found that doesn’t sting the hell out of my eyes and is cruelty-free and vegan-friendly!
