I’m a big fan of green tea I drink it nearly every day with a little bit of honey, I find it very refreshing and gives me better and more sustainable energy boost, but over the last few months I’ve become obsessed with Matcha lattes and after I learn about the amazing benefits and the fact that one cup of Matcha tea is equivalent to about 3 cups of regular green tea I’m hooked.
It’s High In Antioxidants-
Antioxidants are amazing they help fight UV radiation, giving us younger-looking skin, and preventing a number of life-threatening diseases. It’s something you really want to get into your body as much as possible.
Increases Energy Levels-
In Japan the ancient warriors drank Matcha tea before going into battle, Matcha has caffeine but more importantly, the energy comes from the nutritional properties of L-Theanine which is an amino acid this combined with caffeine helps give you energy without the side effects of high sugar or over caffeinated drinks so there is no dramatic energy crash.
Helps You Lose Wight-
This magic powder has hardly any calories and is high in EGCG which boosts metabolism and burns fat but Matcha doesn’t have any nasty side effects and it also doesn’t raise your blood pressure or heart rate, unlike coffee.
Detoxifies The Body-
Matcha is a rich green colour because of the high levels of Chlorophyll which is a plant pigment that helps fight cancer, improve liver detoxification, heal wounds and improves digestion. It can also help clean toxins and heavy metals from your body as well as increases the bloods capacity to deliver oxygen and other nutrients to your cells.
These are just some of the amazing health benefits of Matcha and I’m loving having a cup every day it has a great taste ( if you like green tea you will like Matcha) and its not to hard to make, you just drop a teaspoon into a cup with a little hot water then mix with a traditional Japanese match whisk or with a hand held frother ( make sure you mix well and quickly) then fill the rest with hot frothy Cashew milk ( I have A Machine that does that for me) with half a teaspoon of coconut sugar then you have a healthy delicious alterative to your morning coffee.
Now you may think this is all way too good to be true and I’m afraid there is a catch the price … for £11.95 you get 50g so not a lot for the amount of money you pay but you have to think of it as an investment in your health so overall id highly HIGHLY advise you to buy some Matcha powder and if you don’t like hot drinks you can also have an iced Matcha latte, put it into your smoothie or even use it in your baking!
