I recently found an old blog post that id lost, it was a review on the Lush Tea Tree Toner Water and after posting it I looked at the ingredients and price of the product £4.95 for 100g and realised I could recreate it. I’m going to do a full review on this DIY Tea Tree Toner after testing it for a while to see if I get the same results but I will tell you how I’m getting on so far at the end of the blog post.
What You Will Need –
Pure Essence of Tee Tree –
I got mine from Amphora Aromatics £3 for 10ml bottle but you can also buy it from Amazon, Tee Tree is anti-viral antibacterial, antifungal and help fight spots and lighten acne scars.
Pure Essence Of Lavender –
Purchased at the same place as the Tea Tree Oil £3 for 10ml Lavender oil is calming anti-bacterial, rejuvenating and helps balance hormone levels plus it smells amazing.
Organic Apple Cider Vinegar –
Please make sure it has with the mother on the label as this means it is completely raw and natural and still has all the good stuff in it, I got mine from Holland & Barretts £6.99 for 473ml it is anti- bacterial antifungal and helps balance your pH levels, you can also buy it from Amazon.
A 250ml Spray Bootle –
You can get it from anywhere mine is an old lush bottle.
Measuring Jug –
Simply get it from your kitchen.
Filtered Water –
You don’t want any rubbish on your skin so make sure the water you use is filtered, I got mine from an at home water filter but you can also buy some bottled pure water.
Now on to the fun stuff …
Put 250ml of filtered water into a jug.
Then put 7 drops of Tea Tree oil into the water I’m not going to lie and say it was always supposed to be 7 drops it was originally 6 but I got carried away, you must dilute essential oils as they are very strong and may harm your skin otherwise.
3 drops of Lavender, this will help calm the skin plus it makes it smell a lot nicer.
Next a teaspoon of Organic Apple Cider Vinegar to balance your PH, unfortunately, this doesn’t smell nice but the lavender helps mask it.
Pour all this into your bottle then voila! You have a Tea Tree Toner Water.
I have been using this DIY Tea Tree Toner for about 3 days and I haven’t seen any negative or positive results, it doesn’t smell that bad and it does have a slight calming effect on me. Please make sure to shake the bottle well before use, otherwise, you won’t get the full benefits of all the ingredients, I am not a doctor or skin professional so please keep that in mind when you try this concoction, you can also buy these products on Amazon.
