Did you all have a lovely Christmas? I hope so as I certainly did. When It comes to Christmas I think it brings out the child in us all, something I feel a lot of people lacking in this day and age but I’m a firm believer in that your never too old for some festive cheer.
I’ve never written about what I get at Christmas before but I know that there can be some backlash so I will just do the usual disclaimer I am not bragging at all and I understand that I am very lucky that I have been given these things. Now that’s over on with the post …
Like many people out there I do make a Christmas list and I do cross my fingers and hope for some gifts, and this year I was lucky enough to receive them the first being a Foreo Luna GO in sensitive skin.
I’ve wanted this little gadget for a while now but it’s not cheap at £85 so I didn’t really want to get it myself and when the Christmas season came around and I was asked what I liked I straight away thought of this, last Christmas I was lucky enough to be given a Clarisonic Mia 2 but as time wore on I realised how expensive the brush heads were, £21 for just one to be replaced every 3 months, that mounts up very quickly and in the end I stopped using it.
But the beauty of this product is that it doesn’t have to be replaced as the bristles are made with silicone and easily cleaned its also the size of a cotton pad with an anti-ageing side so it’s easy to travel with.
Of cores like everyone on Christmas day I had to try it immediately and I can safely say that I have fallen in love already, the bristles are soft and its small enough to get around the nooks and crannies of your face but I will keep you updated on how it helps my skin in the long run.
Next was something I’ve been coveting for a while the Iconic London Evo brushes, I’m sure you know about the oval brush craze that is going around and after I tried the Primark one ( Full review here ) I wanted to get my hands on a more high-end version that will last.
Opening this up at Christmas I was so excited, my mother knows me well and picked out the black and rose gold handle ones in the set of 4 which cost £43 so they are very pricey.
Again I couldn’t stop myself from trying it out a little using the third one to contour and it worked beautifully! Thay are so soft and dense that they apply the product very well and I’m looking forward to giving it a proper test drive.
I’ve recently done a wardrobe clear out and realised that I have no jumpers but I really want to start getting some more quality pieces and my mother must have taken note because on Christmas day she got me a beautiful Jack Wills jumper in green marl that I found out costs £60 !!! But unfortunately when I tried it on it felt very scratchy and not very comfortable so even though it looks gorgeous it just decent feel nice which is very disappointing for such an expensive jumper, do you have any recommendations for a comfortable well-made jumper?
A better purchase from jack wills was there makeup bag £14.50 in their signature pink and navy which is the perfect size for a everyday makeup bag.
Last but not least was a stunning set of draws to go by my bed that I needed for a while but was just too lazy to get, now instead of there being an old stool with a load of crap on top by my bed I have something that complements my bedroom.
What did you get for Christmas? I’d love to know also id just like to say a HUGE thank you to my mum and dad who truly spoiled me this year !!
