I’ve been having a lot of problems with my skin recently but I think it has something to do with my hormones, they may be out of sync but I’m not 100% sure in the end I’ve got these ginormous spots and nothing to help me deal with them but fortunately its Indie Lee to the rescue.

I first heard of this brand on Instagram and really liked their ideals with the creator and CEO almost dying from a life-threatening brain tumour that pointed to environmental toxins as the cause, she made a cruelty free, eco friendly, non-toxic skincare line that I couldn’t wait to get my hands on unfortunately it isn’t cheap but you do definitely pay for quality ingredients, I would have loved to buy the whole range but I could only pick one and I went for the Indie Lee Blemish Lotion. ( Isn’t Indie Lee the BEST name for a natural skincare brand?)

As I said this brand isn’t cheap and this cost £24.50 for 30ml of product but you do only need a small amount so this will last you a long time.

The packaging is glass, minimal with very simple branding that gives the product a very clean but luxurious feel.

Whatever you do don’t shake the bottle, I know it seems tempting but you need the fluid to be separated for it to be effective. Simply dip a cotton bud into the pink liquid at the bottom, then dot it on your face after cleansing toning and moisturising your skin, I must say that this is a slightly messy process as its easy for the product to drip all over your sink or bed, I find it best to wait a second before applying it to your face, also after the first couple of uses the bottle does get quite mucky so the bottle doesn’t look pretty for long

I’m not going to lie and not say its not annoying to wake up in the morning with pink splotches all around your face ( I have definitely scared my brother with them) but when I rinse it off with warm water the results are worth it, its not like a magic potion that makes all my spots go away but I find that if I have any surface spots like white heads it improves them a lot by drying them out, Sometimes making them go away over night and for my deep cystic acne it usually brings them to the surface to be treated. I know that pulling crap to the surface of your face isn’t fun but that’s the only way it can be treated and the Blemish Lotion does this brilliantly, after a few nights my spots are definitely improved.

Now I have to be honest and say there is a downside to this product, if you sleep like Snow White and Sleeping Beauty with perfect stillness and poise you will be fine but for someone who sleeps tossing and turning with my mouth wide open I find that the product can move from where you put it and get pink flakes all over your face. I have woken up with a little pink flake near my eyes and if you smell this product which has a strong paint thinner smell that’s not something I need near my eyes. This is the main reason I don’t use this every night.

I would recommend you use this for a two-hour treatment instead, though I do love the fact that you can just plop it on and your skin will look better in the morning.

Overall I love this product it only has 9 ingredients Purified Water, Isopropyl Alcohol, Colloidal Sulfur, Zinc Oxide, Salicylic Acid, Magnesium, Aluminum Silicate (Clay), Camphor and Iron Oxide so no perfume or preservatives that a lot of other brands use, I have been using this for 4 months and I have only used one third of the product. Id highly recommend picking this up and please give me some recommendations on some of Indie Lee’s other products. Thanks For Reading Xxx
