I recently watched the documentary What The Health and it was like being hit with a train full of too much information! suddenly food was a lot more overwhelming.
As I’ve said before on my blog I have chronic fatigue and Fibromyalgia so I feel like if my body is fighting all of this junk food I’m putting in it, it can’t heal itself. I’m not saying if I go plant-based it will be a miracle cure but its worth a shot.
That being said it is very overwhelming trying to completely change your diet, I’ve been a pescetarian for about 2 years so I have cut out meat but not fish and now I’m trying to cut out milk and eggs.
Ethically I’ve always wanted to do it but it’s easier said than done most food has egg or milk in it and you’re giving up cheese, cakes and lots of other stuff you didn’t even think was made with milk and eggs.
I have noticed when I have too much milk I can feel very sick and have stomach pains, I’ve never really connected the dots until now but feeling that crap because of a bit of cheese is not worth it.
Why I’m saying plant-based and not vegan is because I feel you can get a lot of hate and judgement if you can’t stick to the diet or if you slip up I also think anything you do to try and better yourself and the environment is brilliant even if it’s just giving up meat on Mondays you are taking a step in the right direction.
Overall I really want to be more plant Based but it will be a progress at the moment I’ve decided to eat an entirely plant Based diet at home and try to eat more plant Based when I’m out but I won’t be too hard on myself if I can’t find any plant-based food.
I think it’s important to educate yourself and listen to your body, I’d highly recommend watching the documentary What The Health it has a lot of good information. Thanks for reading Xxx
