I’ve talked about coconut oil on my blog before and the amazing things it did for my hair but now I want to chat about putting it on your face.
This isn’t a new thing people have been using it for years and I used to use it all the time but now I’ve perfected my routine and found it works wonders on my skin.
In my early teens I used this as my daily moisturiser it still worked wonders but it took ages in the morning to sink into my skin and I felt it on my face for hours and it didn’t help the look of my makeup, in the defence of the coconut oil I did use a hell of a LOT so no wonder it didn’t sink in well.
The main thing to remember about coconut oil is to get 100% organic and virgin you get a lot better results also Instead of using it as a daily moisturiser I just put it on at night 15 minutes before I go to sleep.
I’d recommend you putting some coconut oil in a sterile little container and taking the product out with a small spatula or anything but your fingers so you keep it free of germs, do not use more than a pea size amount as it will take a while to sink in if you use more and you will be going to sleep with an oily face.
I’ve been suffering from flaking skin at the moment and after 4 days of using this in my night routine, it has regenerated my skin and it’s no longer flaky, I also noticed that my skin looks a lot plumper and more radiant.
It is hands down the BEST night moisturiser I have tried and the fact that it’s completely natural and nontoxic, so I don’t mind putting it on my face every day.
